Football Report 1966/67

This season saw the formation of yet another team in the School, the 2nd XI, making the number of teams run on a Saturday morning up to six. This involves, as can be readily appreciated, a fair amount of co-operation between Staff and boys. To all, I offer my thanks for the enthusiasm with which they embark upon the task of representing the School. By reading the reports which follow, it will be possible to measure to same extent the success achieved. But the reports do not tell all, and I feel that it is worth noting the following: two teams scored more than l00 goals; School teams were represented in three local finals, winning two of them; the 1st XI reached the semi-final of the Tye Competition open to Middlesex Schools; the U.16's reached the final of the Rodwell Trophy, also open to Middlesex Schools the U.15's the semi-final of the Middlesex Grammar Schools Competition; a total of 139 games were played throughout the season - which represents a fair amount of effort. We could do with some support on Saturday mornings so why not come along to Bannister - you will not have any regrets. Read on - then DADS have a morning out. GIVE US YOUR SUPPORT - BRING YOUR WIFE AS WELL. WE GIVE REFRESHMENTS AND WOULD WELCOME SOME HELP.
