The Depths

The deep dark depths where
a light has never shone
holds secrets and riches untold.
The grotesque eyeless fish
that dash and dart about
as if in a hurry
have nowhere to go.
The silent rocks
that have seen
the might of nations crumble
keep their secrets locked up
in casket's of stone.
Down in the deep dark depths
where a light has never shone.
