Father Benedict's Message

Dear Parishioners,

In this brief outline of the history of the foundation of the Parish, I have only singled out the important dates and events that collectively brought about the Parish of St. Joseph, whose 75th Anniversary we are keeping.

It is perhaps during the years not mentioned in this booklet that were the key years in so far as it was during these times that the less publicised but no less important work was done, namely the consolidation and payment for what had been achieved.

We all owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to those who laboured to bring about the milestones in our history. The faith, devotion and sacrifices of Priests, Nuns and laity in the past are our heritage now. We must continually pledge ourselves to the furtherance of the work they started and make wider known the Kingdom of God.
